There is little more beautiful than moving with your baby during a yoga practice. Yoga is a special gift you can give yourself and your little one. Yoga has been proven to help women cope with the emotional and physical stress of pregnancy and helps with labor and delivery.

While Shine Yoga Center does not offer a class specifically geared only to pregnant women, we do offer many classes every week that are pre-natal friendly as noted on the schedule. These classes offer women the opportunity to practice with an instructor who can offer modifications to help you practice safely. Many of the teachers have practiced through their pregnancies and are knowledgeable about the ways practice needs to evolve and sensitive to the needs of expecting moms. Please be sure to arrive fifteen minutes early for class so you can inform the instructor that you are pregnant and to discuss the ways the class will run. We have all of the props a pregnant practitioner needs, so you only need to bring you and your baby.
We are also able to run two-hour prenatal workshops if you are interested in learning about developing a home practice or just want to try yoga in a setting with other pregnant women. There must be five people in the class, so if you have a group interested in setting up a workshop, please contact the studio.
